About Borealis Coffee Company

Let me introduce you to Borealis Coffee Company, a laid-back coffee shop tucked away at 250 Bullocks Point Ave in Riverside, Rhode Island, that instantly feels like a neighborhood favorite the moment you step in. Borealis Coffee Company isn’t trying to be flashy or overdone, and that’s exactly the charm-it’s the kind of place where good coffee and good energy naturally take center stage. From the aroma of freshly brewed coffee to the steady hum of conversation, the atmosphere feels warm, relaxed, and welcoming, making it easy to settle in whether you’re stopping by solo or meeting up with friends. The focus here is clearly on quality and comfort, with coffee that’s thoughtfully prepared and consistently satisfying, paired with quick bites and small plates that complement the experience without stealing the spotlight. It’s an easy choice for a casual morning stop, a midday recharge, or even a low-key afternoon hangout when you just want to slow things down a bit. What really stands out is how flexible the experience can be, since Borealis Coffee Company fits smoothly into different routines-some people pop in for a quick takeaway, others linger with a cup in hand, and plenty enjoy the option to dine in and soak up the coffee shop vibe. Outdoor seating adds another layer of appeal, especially on nice days when fresh air and coffee just make sense together. Even with kerbside pickup and delivery available, the place still manages to feel personal rather than transactional, which says a lot about how it’s run. Everything about Borealis Coffee Company feels intentional but unpretentious, making it easy to recommend to anyone who appreciates a solid cup of coffee, simple yet satisfying food, and a space that feels comfortable without trying too hard.

Tried Borealis for the first time. Went with a large latte (20 oz) with a maple flavor shot and macadamia Creamer. A little pricey, but thought it was good. Service was good as well, two coffees came out in a minute or two. I'd stop in again, but more of a splurge than a frequent flyer.

What a cool little coffee shop in the perfect area. It’s right next to a bike path and and intersection of several streets with plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The staff seems very friendly and they have a lot of food on offer as well as baked goods and obviously coffee. Cold brew was great and the ambience was wonderful. I visited early morning on a weekday and it seemed as if there were a good number of locals coming in for their morning cup. I will definitely be back here often.

I love the Borealis location in Bristol, so this fall, I decided to trek out to their Riverside location! Both locations lean into the historic brick building aesthetic, and the Riverside location glows with natural light and cozy charm This location is smaller because it used to be a rail stop! It’s totally transformed into what may be the cutest coffee shop in RI. The service and coffee making was top notch. I got a dreamy iced coffee, stayed to enjoy the space for a bit, and then hit up the East Bay Bike Path that this coffee shop is located along. It is the perfect weekend activity — go! You won’t regret the stop!

One of my favorite local coffee shops! Amazing coffee, delicious food options (including gluten free!), and I love being able to buy their beans to roast at home. Great indoor and outdoor seating and convenient location.

I love biking and this is the perfect stop on the most beautiful bike path in the state. Great London fog. Not too sweet. Perfectly strong (and they removed the tea bag so it didn’t over steep and get bitter without my needing to ask - which I love. That’s the right way) they also have “for here” cups in case you don’t like to drink out of plastic or make trash. (Or want to take it with you on the bike) Highly recommend.

This is a perfect place to stop on your East Bay Bike Path bike ride, run, or walk. The cold brew and cappuccino are both solid. You can enjoy your drinks in their outside seating area. Most people put their bikes next to the fence that sections off the seating area so that it’s easy to keep an eye on their bikes. If you put your bike next to the part of the fence furthest from the cafe building, there is plenty of shade to keep your bike cool. The bathroom is clean and very helpful since the section of the East Bay Bike Path closet to Providence has fewer accessible restrooms.

Really, really good latte. I wish they stayed open longer (close at 2pm). They have dine in mugs available, which is always a plus. Every table was occupied, but it was also a rainy day so might be more open space in better weather. Would definitely go back for the coffee at least.

I haven’t been in person I usually buy their beans at Public house. But omg the coffee beans are so good. I just tried their three phase espresso blend. It’s deep and rich, caramel, naturally sweet. And surprisingly the tiniest just right amount of acidity felt on the sides of my tongue was so good
